The property itself is beautiful. A lovely villa, clearly well looked after by its owner and the related staff. Very sadly, the communication on arrival was non existent, quite literally, nobody there to "meet and greet" you. Our only advice of entry was a sheet of paper with directions and instructions to enter, the entry advice was completely inadequate as the property has two sets of keys. We were only provided with one set (main building) and not advised or provided with the access to the downstairs accommodation we had paid for ,until the cleaner advised us of on the 8th day. At that point, upon reflection of this completely inadequate and incompetent service, we refused to accept the downstairs accommodation given we hadn't used it for 7 nights of a 10 night stay. The cleaner contacted the owner who confirmed that we had, as expected and as per our booking, paid for the 4 bedrooms, which is in line with what you see on the website. My complaint is ongoing with the property management who are blaming the owner, who they deem was responsible for the meet and greet, albeit the owner is now apparently back in the UK, so no idea how that actually works, but likewise I am being told today I can't make contact with the owner directly. I find this astonishing as every email I have had is with the property management via VRBO, so how can the meet and greet be some other entities fault? Therefore, this is quite frankly disappointingly a complete mess that leaves me naturally very disappointed with the property management team, which is a little surprising as service was polite and courteous, but having confirmed a mistake and misunderstanding in the "meet and greet" and entry advice", allowing us only 75% access to what we had paid for, the subsequent discussion is nothing but flippant emails in some kind of hope that this hasn't caused any problems and we can forget about it? The fact is 25% of this villa has separate keys, and there is an odd game being played out here which leaves a sour taste in my mouth, as nobody is acknowledging the fact that we have not been adequately and fairly treated given what we paid for. Surely, surely, surely, the property management team can identify here that on arrival it needs to provide me with 100% capacity, all sets of keys, to a property me and my family are totally unfamiliar with. Nobody turned up for our arrival whatsoever, we had one set of instructions, one set of keys. I'll say no more, this is ongoing.
