It's important to say right up front that this apartment requires a rental car, taxi, or bus, as it is 2mi outside St Andrew's. My daughter and I figured the bus out within the first day (it comes hourly, and in a very timely way). But if you're thinking of an in-town experience, you might want to stay elsewhere. And bring a flashlight at night, to light your way from the bus stop to the light outside the cottage.
The property (attached to three other cottages) is just lovely. As noted above, there is amble room both inside and out; the apartment is light and airy, and there's a beautiful backyard with picnic table. All was very clean and tidy. In terms of kitchen and linens, the equipment and supplies were quite adequate, if not special. It would have been nice to have a couple of extra accents (e.g., a blanket for the living room couches, an extra towel or two, or a few kitchen staples that we have had elsewhere, like sugar) . But definitely all was adequate for our needs. Also, the staff came right away to check on a "stuck lock" on our door; very responsive.
We definitely would stay there again (unless we really want or need to be right in town.).Thank you!!
