Too small for a couple, better suited for one.
Chic decor does not trump functionality. Bedroom very small, less than on foot between bed and wall. Could not utilize one side of wardrobe and as a result, suitcases had to be in the living room which is also small. Tv in kitchen, odd. Large security bars on windows and garden door, lots of extra locks, scary in the event of fire. One of the days, a plumber appeared to do work without our knowledge or consent. My husband had to stay while the work was being done which meant he could not join me. A wasted day for us in London. Work should be done when the unit is empty.
The other issue was noise at night from the playground. A gathering spot for teens. All in all, We did not feel at home, but rather that we were paying for someone else’s home.
Bright 1 bedroom with lovely garden - and a football pitch next door
This property is as charming in reality as it is in the photos - and that's why I booked it for 10 nights. Nice, safe neighborhood, walkable to nice restaurants and the Earls Court tube station. The description included "a playground nearby perfect for families."
The playground is there but so is a football pitch with very active kids and adults daily from mid-afternoon until the area closed after 9pm. SCREAMING kids, balls flying into the "private garden," balls kicked into the fence continually made my evenings a nightmare. A ball was in the garden when I arrived. Two more came flying over the fence on different nights, making a loud bang and scaring me to death. The noise and fear of balls flying into the garden prevented me from enjoying sitting out there even once. I did contact the management company several times and even sent audio recordings of the noise. They did offer to move me but also told me they were making a noise complaint and gave me the impression that the problem would be solved.
I never received photos of any optional property so I chose to stay hoping the noise would cease. However, it continued and whistles were added to the games.
I ended up leaving 2 days early and moving to a hotel at my expense. I needed to work in the evenings in the kitchen and the heat wave required the doors be open. The noise prevented me from getting anything done. I left the property and walked around until almost dark several nights to avoid the noise.
The property inside is just lovely. The garden is lovely as well. I truly hope that the management company has addressed the noise or altered their description because the garden is unusable and the noise is unbearable if the football pitch is used as it was the week I was there.
Beautiful flat in a great location. Very clean with all necessary amenities.
We really enjoyed our stay. The flat is in a great location, in walking distance to many nice restaurants, cafes etc. Also very close to the tube station, and only a short trip away from central London. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful flat and great location
We really enjoyed out stay here. We felt like a local and the apartment was beautiful and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Great place in Central London!
A very nice place in central London. The area is safe and near to many amenities including public transport (7 min walk). The place is fairly small but the garden/ patio out back is beautiful and the bedroom has a view to the outside and sky which makes the place feel like a retreat from the crowds. The bed was very comfortable and the living room is beautiful. This is a flat in a larger building, like many places in London, so it’s not a place for noisy people I would say. It would be cramped for more than 1-2 people. Anyway it’s a great place and was perfect for my needs. the manager Chiara was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Very nice place, excellent value
Highly recommended. This attractive, roomy, nicely furnished one bedroom flat has a large, very well equipped kitchen. It was immaculate, quiet, and in a safe neighborhood. The ground floor entrance means just a few steps up to enter the flat. Compared to rates we’ve paid for other Home Away properties, this is an extremely good value. As for shopping, there are mini-markets at either end of the street (about a six-minute walk) that carry a good assortment of groceries, supplies, and pre-prepared meals. A further walk along Fulham, past the famous Chelsea Football Club, is the larger Broadway-Fulham Tube Station with a top notch full-service Sainsbury supermarket in the same complex
