The Pump House - koselig gård hytte med fiske og golf i nærheten

The Pump House is a wonderful place from which to explore this part of Ireland. The cottage is very comfortable - the loft is especially fine for sipping morning coffee- and the Reeves provide the welcoming essentials, from fresh flowers to fresh farm eggs, which was a lifesaver since we arrived very late to the cottage. The king sized bed is the perfect place to collapse into after a long day of touring, while the heat warmed up the cottage enough to take away the early autumn chill. The Pump House is on a working farm, so there are animals around, but being greeted by friendly dogs is always the best way to begin a day!

The owners, Claudia and James, are the perfect hosts. They will arrange for taxi rides, even giving my husband a ride down to Clancy's for the weekly Thursday night Irish music session and are good resources on where to go in the area. Athy, Ireland is perfectly situated near major roads and trains, so getting around is fairly easy.

I would highly recommend the Pump House . Our stay there was simply a lot of fun!

Kleines, schön renoviertes Haus. EinSchlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, ein weiteres Schlafsofa auf einer Empore, die über eine Leiter zu erreichen ist.

We needed a place to stay while visiting family in the area and the Pump House cottage was perfect. It's quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable. The kids loved the bed in the loft area !

The owners do a fantastic job of making guests welcome. Loved the fresh scones and jam set out on the table when we got there ! Little touches like that really make a difference.

We heartily recommend the cottage and look forward to staying there again some time

Das Cottage befindet sich in einer wunderschönen weitläufigen grünen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und hat alles was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Die Vermieter, Claudia und James, haben uns warmherzig empfangen (mit selbstgebackenen Scones, Marmelade und clotted cream, Brot im Brotkasten, Milch und Butter im Kühlschrank); man fühlte sich sofort willkommen. Sie waren immer hilfsbereit und für einen da, wenn man Fragen hatte (z.B. zum Bahnhof gefahren, erklärt wie die Fahrkarten gezogen werden und welche Busse oder Bahnen man nehmen muss, tolle Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben) und haben somit dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns bei unserem ersten Irland-Aufenthalt überhaupt nicht fremd gefühlt haben. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist auch super für viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung (z.B. Rock of Cashel. Wicklow Mountains, Dublin, Kilkenny). Auch die vielen Haustiere (Katzen, Hunde, Hühner, Pferde und ein Esel), die auf dem Hof leben sind so liebenswert :-) ... und lassen die Abreise schwer fallen ...

Wir werden mit Sicherheit nochmal wieder kommen und können das Cottage nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen :-)

Zentral gelegenes, schönes Ferienhaus auf Farmgelände, gut geeignet für Paare und mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Herzliche Gastgeber. Empfehlungen: Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt House & Gardens, Kildare National Stud.
