Long stay April
We stayed for 18 nights and found the location fantastic for our family of 6. Great to visit up or down the coast and visit places such as Ronda, Mijas, Casares, sotogrande and Gibraltar also very close approx 30min drive.
Stunning views from both front balconies. It is well equipped but some of the kitchen pans could do with being updated as they are a little too well used in some cases.
Overall if you are looking for an excellent value and good location accommodation to sleep 6 people with secure parking then this place is great.
The pools are not heated so we only went in very briefly (in April) but the grounds are well kept. Park with zip line and basketball/football in the complex and the shops are 2min drive away, mercadona was our favourite.
We didn’t need to contact the agent Lois but her number is available for any probs. Could have done with a bedding change part way through for longer stays would be my only comment on the housekeeping.
Bahia de Casares
The accommodation was very spacious and the views from the balcony were lovely. It was nice to watch the sun setting from the balcony over the sea. Correspondence with Andy and also Lois (who looks after the property) was very good too. It is very convenient for visiting places like Gibraltar, Marbella, Mijas, Estepona, etc and also the town of Sabinillas which we could walk to from the accommodation and which also had lots of places to eat there. We would recommend Andy’s apartment.

We have just returned from 2 weeks staying in this lovely spacious apartment. We were 5 adults and a baby with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms everyone had space. The apartment is in a great location with fabulous views over the sea. It is at the top of a hill and the paths around the apartment and to the pool are quite steep so not suitable for everyone.
The pool can be viewed from the terrace and is great the teenagers loved the fact it was deep enough to dive in and the baby pool next to it meant we were all happy, there are about 10-12 sunbeds around the pool and most of the time it wasn't too busy.
We went for several days out, including Gibraltar, we drove and parked in underground car park just before the border as our car hire company said car had to stay on Spanish soil. The car park was 12 euros for the day. We walked to the border and just before crossing bought our cable car tickets to the top of the rock which included free bus to start of cable car and fast track entry (which on the day we visited was invaluable as queues were very long the wait was hours not minutes)
We went to the water park at Algeciras , kids enjoyed that, 22 euros to get in 5 euros for 2 beds and umbrella for day.
Turning right out of the Urbanization takes you up the mountain road to Casares a beautiful white old town clinging to the Mountain, all the way up this road are some excellent restaurants almost one on every bend!! well worth the drive only takes 30 mins to get to top.
The beach and promenade at Sabinillas is a 5 min drive and is full of restaurants and activities for the kids. At the end of the promenade you arrive at the Marina at Puerto de la Duquesa again lots of restaurants and stalls.
Andy was an excellent host with good communication before our trip , during and after. On arrival at the apartment Lois advised us the Air Con downstairs was not working but Andy arranged for the engineers to come and it was fixed within a couple of days so didn't spoil our experience. Thanks again Andy and Family I'm sure we will be back !!!
Great holiday in the sun for 5!
We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment at Bahia de Casares. The complex, situated on top of the hill has wonderful views of the sea, with Estepona in the distance and of the local town Sabinillas below. A car is a must here as walking would be difficult in the heat. Andy the owner was quick to reply to any questions via email and Lois is nearby to help out if needed. The rooms are spacious and airy and the 3 bathrooms make it perfect with 3 teenage boys! Well equipped kitchen with a few basic ingredients left by others. 2 lovely pools to choose from which were wonderful to cool off in when the temperature got up to 41°! Nothing else to do nearby so a car is necessary but lots of nice places not far away. Lidl only a 5 minute drive to stock up on food and beer! A lovely place to stay in real Spain.
Very enjoyable stay,the apartment was spacious and clean with everything you needed for our trip.With 3 balconies and 3 baths,everybody was happy,and the view was stunning,looking onto the sea.
Utviklingen 'Terrazas de la Bahia' ligger på åssiden på Casares Costa (eller Bahia de Casares), like utenfor hovedveien 6 km vest for Estepona. Videre vest, innen et par minutters kjøretur (eller en nydelig strandpromenade), er byen Sabinillas og den vakre havnen i La Duquesa, begge med et stort utvalg av restauranter, kafeer og barer. 14km innlandet er den mye fotograferte hvite puebloen av Casares kjent som 'Hanging Village'. Denne delen av kysten er mye mindre utviklet, men godt forbundet med kystveien og motorveien. Estepona, Casares og Sabinillas forblir forfriskende tradisjonelle spanske landsbyer. Det er en 45-60 minutters kjøretur fra Malaga flyplass, 30 minutter fra Gibraltar flyplass og 1 1/2 times kjøring fra Jerez flyplass.
Den nye Finca Cortesin golfbanen - hjemmet til Volvo World Match lekemesterskapet ligger innen en kilometer fra leiligheten. Mange andre golfbaner med høy kvalitet er innen få minutters kjøring.
