Terrific relaxing house and outdoor living area
This was a a reunion holiday for us with grown up children and their partners, a real memory trip reminiscing our many French holidays as they grew up. What a great house, only problem was it was so great it made us want to stay around the house, reading, eating, drinking … up the sun in absolutely fabulous setting. Beautiful local village, very good boulangerie, but lots of steps. Excellent facilities and the pool is kept in excellent condition. I am sure we will be return visitors. Contact with Philippe and clear tracking of booking very reassuring and helpful.
Very comfortable house and beautiful views
We stayed here for two weeks with our children and my 80 year old parents and had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are quite comfortable and the views of the sea and baous are wonderful. The house worked perfectly for all of us as there weren't too many steps to go up and down. We spent all of our time outside under the awning or in the pool, and even when we had rain (briefly for one evening), we stayed dry under the awning. We were a bit worried that the house had no air conditioning, but we didn't need it as there was always a breeze and the evenings were cool. We enjoyed walking up to the village of St. Jeannet to get croissants every morning and have dinner at the pizzeria on the lower level of the St. Barbe restaurant a couple of nights. Philippe was very helpful beforehand and Isabelle provided an inviting welcome and also helped us on our departure by taking us to the airport. We would definitely recommend this house and stay here again.
Everything you could possibly need for the perfect Provence trip!
What a wonderful trip and experience for our family. We are a family of three, but we had several other families join us at different times during our week long stay. At times our group was as large as 10 people, which the house comfortably accommodated, especially with the detached apartment. The house location and many amenities (pool, garden, quiet street) were ideal for adults and children alike, and on most evenings, we had impromptu pool parties that were a real highlight for the vacation. Saint Jeannet was the perfect Provencal village and an easy walk from the house. Daily walks to the boulangerie for fresh bread and croissants were a fun part of the day, and our group even enjoyed a night out for dinner at La Table des Baous. The house location was also ideal for taking day trips to Nice, Antibes, Juan les Pines, Saint Paul de Vence, Monaco, and even Sanremo, Italy. Saint Paul de Vence was a beautiful medieval town, with quaint stone streets inlayed with a sunburst pattern, many art galleries and very good shopping, so we were thrilled to find such a gem this close to home. Overall, the trip was truly one of the best vacations our family and our friends have ever had, and we attribute this to such a wonderfully appointed villa. We hope to visit again one day soon.
A wonderful location for a celebration
I recently celebrated a milestone birthday at this villa for 2 weeks with my family and friends. Philippe, the owner, was very easy to deal with from the start of the booking. The villa and the weather were both excellent and we all had a lovely time. The villa is situated in a wonderful location and is well equipped for adults and children (who loved the pool) and even though we had a full house we did not feel pushed for space. In addition, the local village of Saint Jeannet is a short walk away and retains its French charm (not over run with tourists) and the views from the panorama are breathtaking. There is also a fantastic restaurant in the village called La Table des Baous - great for lunch on the terrace. It is also an ideal base to explore other local villages - St Paul de Vence is stunning - or go to Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Monaco for the day. Raphael, The Manager, was extremely helpful and friendly. Some of my friends had never been to the South of France - but would definitely come back now!
We had a very relaxing week in St Jeannet. The villa was comfortable and clean. The pool was warm and had a wonderful view over the Mediterranean. The location was ideal for us as it was so quiet yet close enough to walk to the village bakery, butcher and lovely restaurants . The village is full of character and lovely to explore. We had a hire car but there was a bus service from the tourist office car park a short walk up the hill (didn't use it) There was an excellent supermarket a short drive away in Le Peyron.
The booking and payment process with Philippe was very easy. We would certainly recommend this property.
We recently spent 2 weeks at this lovely relaxing villa. It was extremely clean and well laid out - we used it as a base for a family of 3 but it easily accommodated another family that came to join us for a few days. The villa was well equipped with everything you would need to make your time here stress-free. We spent most of our time on the exceptional terrace (cooking, eating and reading) or in the beautiful pool.
The quiet village boasted a lively (but not loud) pizza bar on a nice terrace and a great restaurant (La Table des Baous) in which we enjoyed 2 tasty evenings.
Phillipe was very easy to deal with and his communication always prompt. Raphael and Audrey were excellent managers and readily offered advice on places to visit and local foods to try (the 7 yr old loved the ice cream).
The location made travelling around the area and into Italy straightforward. We did have our own car, which I would recommend, but we did notice a very regular bus service.
