You are responsible for the property and are expected to take all reasonable care of it. The property (including all equipment, utensils etc) must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. 6. There are a number of regulations governing the use of the facilities on the estate to ensure everyone enjoys them in safety. These include hours of use and the supervision of children. These must be obeyed by everyone in your party at all times. 7. The tenancy created by this agreement is a Hiliday Let within paragraph 9 of Part 1 to Schedule 1 of the Housing Act 1988. 8. You responsible for all members of your party and are liable for any damages caused to the Colmer Estate, its facilities and amenities (ie furniture, games equipment, indoor pool etc). 9. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment.

A Relaxing Holiday in Pleasant Surroundings
We had a really great time staying at this accommodation and were really comfortable for our 4 day trip. We are a young family with a 2.5 year old and 4 month old baby and we found the apartment very family friendly, safe, and had some lovely toys in the living room. The indoor pool was a bonus, lovely and warm for all of us.
One thing that I think would be useful to know is that there is a petrol station/SPAR 2 mins drive away that sells a huge selection of COOK ready meals which was AMAZING and would have saved some planning if we'd known this in advance - SO convenient!

Very pleasant cottage and location
A spacious and pleasantly decored and equipped cottage with a generous lawn area that catches the sun. Decent broadband and wi-fi for those with devices: on a heavily rainy day we watched Netflix (via our own laptop + HDMI cable) without issue. Good communication with the owner about a couple of minor issues. The Colmer Estate is a decent base for the generally calm beaches of the South Hams (20 minutes drive), trips to Dartmoor, longer journeys to Plymouth (30 mins) and the attractions of Paignton / Torquay (40 mins). The estate's two swimming pools keep the younger members of the family active and entertained (bring inflatables) and adults can use a small gym (rower / cross trainer / runing machine / cycling machine / core body bench) plus tennis court and fishing. The cottage is about 6 minutes walk to a small Spar convenience store and dining pub at California Cross, meaning that one can enjoy lazy days without too much worry regarding being able to eat: a huge Tesco Extra is 20 minutes drive away at Lee Mill. "Nice to have" features would be for the property to have a dishwasher and washer / dryer rather than the existing separate washing machine and tumble dryer.

Tolle, weitläufige, gut gepflegte Anlage, großzügig geschnittene Wohnung mit schönem Garten, brauchbarer Tennisplatz und großer Pool - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Pleasant place to stay for a quiet break
This property is pleasant for a quiet break. Both swimming pools clean and heated. Decoration OK and all facilities in Woodside work. Play area a little disappointing. We would book again
Grand building on the outside but the inside did not live up to the outside.
I had to hoover up all the cobwebs and spiders in every room,even in the wardrobe before I could put my clothes away. Very musty and damp smell in the apartment. Did not get two sets of towels and when we did get another two towels they were stained and damp and musty and not bath towel size. No light bulb in bathroom mirror light. The oven was dirty so we ate out everyday and only had to use the oven once to heat up something. The fridge freezer was not working properly and our ice creams in the freezer had to be thrown away as they didn't freeze. The shower head was dirty and rusty. The bathroom toilet wall was black with mould. One set of cutlery had no knives so not good if more than 2 people staying. When the weather did warm up we couldn't sit out in the garden as the chairs were rusty and had holes in one of them. The sofa was also musty and neither of the chairs were comfortable. It was disappointing stay and I wished I paid extra money and gone somewhere else. The swimming pool and gym were always kept clean and it was very handy in the wet weather. The garden was much better cared for than the apartment. My mother and I will now need another holiday to get over this holiday. It is sad as the location and leisure facilities were great but not the apartment. So we will not be staying here again nor recommending this apartment which needed a mrs Hinch clean up which requires very little effort to give any one staying a nice experience. We are no way posh or snobbish but just did not expect to find an uncared for place to stay.
I am very sad if any guest does not enjoy their stay at Woodside; but thankfully this is extremely rare, as evidenced by our numerous other reviews. Feedback is always welcome, so that we can improve the experience for future guests and, even though 80% of this particular review was fictitious (and followed an unsuccessful attempt to complain to HomeAway, presumably to try to receive some money back), the snippets that were true have been noted and duly acted upon.
