Nice condo albeit has some issues
The condo is nice and fits the description but there were numerous issues that left us frustrated with our stay. A bit pricey given our struggles without adequate resolution. Here's a list:
1) we received a check-in email. The wifi id and code were wrong so we didn't have wifi for two days. Couldnt reach prop mgr (PM) and had several emails, texts and phone numbers in contact with us but we were unsure who was who, owners, PMs, customer service, was too much and hard to keep track.
2) several heating systems simultaneously in place. Unclear which thermostat to use. by day-2, we used the portable heater, since 3 thermostats weren't working nor the ancient wall heater. Called maintenance to address on day 2.
3) We had a blackout. All lights in bathroom for first 24-hrs. went dark. We contacted PM but slow to address. We had to shower, groom and use toilet in the dark the first night, morning before skiing and were told maintenance would come. Lights weren't fixed until we returned from skiing day-2 after 5pm. Very inconvenient, slow to fix and still a mystery what occurred despite our inquiries. Real disappointment!
4) sofa bed sheets were unchanged upon arrival. Dirty from small debris and ruffling. Not ok, we changed sheet. No cleaning people to address despite notifying PM. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable to sleep, can feel the springs in thin mattress.
5) some kitchen areas were unclean, some food particles in refrigerator cooling drawer & needed to rewash some dishware
6) no hot water on days-2 & 3! After the blackout on day-1 and inability to get help from the PM, we scrambled to find the fuse box the first night. We reset all the fuses, still no luck. On the evening of day-2, the hot water dissipated. Two of us had to shower with cold water, and there was no hot water anywhere. Checked pilot on water heater, other faucets, no luck. There must've been +6 different contact numers, cells, 800-number, emails and it was unclear who was in charge. Sent a maintenance tech during our dinner to troubleshoot. He was polite and apologetic but could not help us figure out what happened, nor confirm if anyone ever came to fix the bathroom lights that triggered some other problem with the fusebox. Too much disruption and frustration to feel like a leisure trip to the mountains.
7) Garbage - we couldn't find where to empty trash, so left by recycling dumpster which was not great given concerns about bears.
there were other issues, but these are the big ones. I spent too much time addressing problems and several still a mystery. We ended up finding the modem to use another wifi connection that had nothing to do with the check-in list but I spent the weekend using my personal hotspot and incurring the cost and downtime to troubleshoot something that should not be my obligation. We are not happy customers!
